Please read these terms carefully before using
our AI-powered math tutoring platform.
Introduction and Acceptance
1.1 The Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a binding legal agreement between Korosen ("we," "us," or "our"), a company incorporated in the Republic of Singapore, and you ("User," "you," or "your"), whether you are a student, teacher, school administrator, or parent acting on behalf of a minor.
1.2 Acceptance
By registering for, accessing, or using our software, website, or services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
1.3 Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes (e.g., via email or a notification within the Service). Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
Accounts and Eligibility
2.1 Age Requirements
- Users Under 13: You may not create an account on your own. Accounts for children under 13 must be created by a parent, legal guardian, or an authorized school official ("Responsible Adult").
- Responsible Adult Liability: If you are the Responsible Adult registering an account for a minor, you agree to be fully responsible for the minor’s conduct on the Service and their compliance with these Terms.
2.2 School Accounts
If you access the Service through a school subscription ("School Account"), your use is also subject to the master agreement between Korosen and your educational institution. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the school contract, the school contract shall prevail.
2.3 Account Security
You are responsible for safeguarding your password. You agree not to share your credentials with others. Korosen is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access to your account due to your failure to secure your credentials.
License and Intellectual Property
3.1 Korosen’s Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, source code, AI models, algorithms, graphics, logos, and educational content created by us, is the exclusive property of Korosen and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, educational purposes only.
3.2 User Content
- Ownership: Students retain ownership of the answers, math workings, and notes ("User Content") they submit to the Service.
- License to Us: By submitting User Content, you grant Korosen a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, host, store, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (e.g., to grade it) and to improve our AI models (on a de-identified, aggregated basis).
3.3 Feedback
If you provide suggestions, feature requests, or feedback to us, we may use them without any obligation or compensation to you.
Acceptable Use Policy (Code of Conduct)
You agree not to misuse the Service. The following actions are strictly prohibited:
- Academic Dishonesty: Using the Service to cheat, plagiarize, or obtain answers for exams/assignments without educational effort.
- Tech Abuse: Attempting to reverse engineer the AI, scrape data, introduce malware, or bypass security measures.
- Harassment: Uploading content that is abusive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or racially/religiously offensive (in compliance with Singapore’s Maintenance of Religious Harmony Act and Protection from Harassment Act).
- Commercial Use: Reselling, renting, or sub-licensing the Service to third parties without our written consent.
Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension and a permanent ban.
AI Disclaimer and Limitations
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
5.1 No Guarantee of Accuracy
The Service uses generative Artificial Intelligence. While we strive for high accuracy, AI systems can occasionally "hallucinate" or provide incorrect feedback. You acknowledge that the Service is a study aid, not a replacement for a human teacher.
5.2 Not for High-Stakes Decisions
You agree not to rely on the Service for critical decisions, such as final grading, national exam predictions (e.g., PSLE, O-Levels), or university admissions.
5.3 No Endorsement
Korosen is an independent private entity. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) or the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB).
Payment and Subscription
6.1 Fees
Certain features may require a paid subscription. You agree to pay all applicable fees as described at the time of purchase.
6.2 Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
6.3 Refunds
All payments are non-refundable, except where required by law or explicitly stated in our specific Refund Policy.
6.4 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE."
To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, Korosen disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of Liability
8.1 Cap on Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Korosen’s total liability to you for any claims arising out of these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8.2 Exclusion of Damages
In no event shall Korosen be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, academic failure, or loss of opportunity.
8.3 Exceptions
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud (as required by the Unfair Contract Terms Act of Singapore).
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Korosen, its officers, directors, and employees harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) Your violation of these Terms; (b) Your User Content (e.g., if you upload copyrighted material belonging to a third party); or (c) Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.
Termination
10.1 By You
You may stop using the Service at any time.
10.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms. We may also terminate free accounts that have been inactive for over 12 months.
10.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We may delete your data subject to our data retention practices outlined in our Privacy Policy.
General Provisions
11.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
11.2 Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including any question regarding its existence, validity, or termination, shall be referred to and finally resolved by the courts of Singapore.
11.3 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
11.4 Entire Agreement
These Terms (along with our Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and Korosen regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
